Dr. Al-Delaimy is an Professor of Epidemiology and Chief of the Division of Global Health
at the Department of Family and Preventive Medicine. His Global Health focus is on Chronic Diseases and their prevention and is involved with collaborative projects in the Middle East. He also leads research on tobacco and health policy and has interest in expanding this to the less developed countries where there is currently widespread use of tobacco. Refugee health, public Health advocacy, human rights, and ethics are among the other global health areas he is working on and of interest to him. His past experience working in different countries around the globe and being a scientist with World Health Organization motivated his interest in global health research and training and is now leading the Family and Preventive Medicine department faculty on global health issues and initiatives.
